Garrett has taken Karate for 1 year now.  He belongs to Bushi Ban here in American Fork.  He is a little dragon and has advanced all the way to a Red/White Belt.  One more belt and he'll be playing with the big boys and working towards his Black Belt.   This is a competition he entered and took 2nd place. Way to GO GARR-BEAR!!!

The Peterson Family Christmas Eve Sledding Party 2008.  This will be one of my favorite Christmas memories.

"Take my hand Ellie, I'll show you the way."

Ellie is our
youngest so far. She is also our firecracker! Literally! She came into our world on the 4th of July. She is FULL of energy and is always moving. She is very independant and can do anything on her own, according to her. Last week we went to the library and almost had to leave because she was using the book shelves as a jungle gym. She is a little nosey and enjoys getting into things. She is programed more like a Peterson and enjoys being on the go. She goes to preschool twice a week but looks forward to when she can go to school with Garrett. Mom sometimes looks forward to that moment as well. She enjoys dolls, dress-up, finger nail painting, my makeup & being with her Daddy.

A year after Nate and I were married, we got pregnant with Garrett. He will be 7 in July. He's such a sweet hearted little guy. He was a very good baby, and has grown into a very good little boy. He is true Hoyal. He is very smart, loves candy like his dad and loves to play on the computer, and Wii. A great day for Garrett is to sit in his underware and play the Wii all day with an occational trip to McDonalds for some grub and then back to the Wii. He is very easily entertained and loves quiet time with me. Everyday he gets older I wish for time to stand still with Garrett.

Our Children

This is Nate, Me, Jessica and Natalie this past Christmas Eve. This was the original cast of the Nate & Jamie Hoyal Family. When Nate and I got married Jessica was 7 and Natalie was 5. Time flies when your having a party. Jessica is now 15. She's into computers, cell phones, ipods, camera's and anything electronical. She keeps me in fashion and I notice I've enjoyed when she borrowed my clothes. It confirms to me that I'm still somewhat with the times. As of the last time I spoke with her she wants to attend Weber and be a History Teacher. Its hard to believe she's already making those kinds of plans for her future. Natalie comes next in our bunch and she will be 14 at the end of this month. Natalie loves soccer, friends, people, and has always been the happy-go-lucky one. However, when her sensitivity to her female hormones takes over she tends to be a little emotional. On those days I'm glad they live down the street with their mother. She is a high achiever and plans to make it big someday in Hollywood. She particpates in her school drama program and is excited when she hears about an upcoming production or audition that she can be apart of. I was lucky enough to have the girls come into into my life when they were young so I've been able to watch them grow into these beautiful ladies.

Doing the blog thing...

I can tell this "Blog" thing might become a problem for the family.  Hopefully Nate won't become a blog widow.  He's still recovering from being a facebook single father.  It's only taken the whole evening to find the cutest background on the net to expresses my style & personality.  That doesn't include the many hours it will take me to catch you up to date on my life, Nates life, the kids life, and the great lives of both our dogs.  Lets not even mention the time that I'll need to find matching pictures and the perfect music to make the experience for my readers enjoyable. Yes, I'm addicted to the blog.  I hope you all will enjoy seeing a glimpse of our world from time to time.  For now, I must stop.  Ellie (my 3 yr. old) has fallen asleep under my feet at the computer. Probably not the greatest "mothering" moment.
This is great fun.  Now lets see how much time I can be on the computer between facebook and this, I'm not sure I'll ever leave the computer screen.  My children will definalty be motherless now.
